As the national voice for Canada’s front line police personnel, the Canadian Police Association advocates changes to our laws that affect not only our members, but the citizens you are sworn to serve. We advocate on your behalf in many ways:
Face to face meetings with Members of Parliament and Senators.
Appearances before standing committees of the House of Commons and Senate.
Meetings with senior government officials and policy advisors.
CPA Participation in stakeholder committees and government consultations.
Collaboration and partnerships with other public safety organizations, such as the Canadian Association of Police Boards, Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Customs and Excise Union (CEUDA), and the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers.
